Soundbarrier Brömma Airport

Our proposal for the Swedavia Airport Innovation Challenge was selected as one of the 6 finalist, out of almost 100 entries. Unfortunately, we didn’t win but we’re happy with the honour of being selected.

The sound barrier between the airport and the residential area we proposed, manifests itself as a prolongation of the dense birch tree forest already facing the airport. An artificial “forest” of slim, white, structural poles hold various layers of a transparent barrier and interacts harmoniously with this distinctive element of the airports Southern frontier.
