Testing vertical gardens

Lately we’ve been investigating various options for making the vertical gardens at the House of Ajuda. Together with Jardim dos Barreiros we made this mock-up to see which plants work best. The idea is to use plants that are commonly seen in gardens of the townhouses around Funchal, giving the vertical garden a local appearance while being a very notable feature of the house.
