Portuguese cork in construction site GSG

In the last visit to the building site in House GSG we could see the cork panels for the roof insulation. Its the first time we are using portuguese cork, after several failed attempts in previous projects. You can see in the picture the 4cm panell. Portugal has the largest cork oak forest area in the world, this tree has been protected since the 13th century. When we are using the cork we are keeping the forest alive because we are contributing to the cork oaks to regenerate.
