Another great collaborative project with Studio Fraaj resulted in the opening of the exhibition stand of Remeha on the VSK 2018, the trade show for heating, plumbing, climate control and refrigeration technology in Utrecht. The concept of the stand is that the visitors are included in the story behind the products, in stead of just showing […]
Last week we received “green light” from the municipality of Ponta do Sol for one of the projects we have been working on lately. This project is a collaboration with Mayer&Selders Architects and consists of 2 touristic units and common swimmingpool. The houses consist of several small-scaled, creating a range of more private and public patios […]
Last week the flower installation we designed for the garden of the municipality building in Calheta was inaugurated. The installation makes part of the Madeira Flower Festival and will stay for 2 weeks. This tiny cottage is a low budget holiday house made of cross laminated timber. The 30m2 constrution is partially pre fabricated in order to reduce time and construction waste. The form of the house is a reference to the tradicional little sheds in the countryside of Madeira.
The colours of the surrounding earth were the inspiration for this project in Madeira Island. The construction is just finished. With the help of solar pannels the water temperature ranges between 24 and 27 degrees but the most amazing of all are the views.
This morning we started with marking the layout of a swimmingpool and wintergarden to be built on this piece of land in rural Madeira. It will be constructed with brown/red-coloured concrete, to blend in with its surroundings. We’re looking forward to the building process!
